OCAD U students and faculty upload a lot of data to Canvas (Legacy):

phonebooks worth of data_. This much data is expensive; it requires a
lot of hardware and infrastructure to store and backup.

WHAT VERSION OF CANVAS DOES OCAD U RUN?
OCADU runs the Community Version (CV) of Canvas and recently launched
Canvas Cloud. We refer to our old CV version as Canvas (Legacy). There
are several differences between the two versions.

When a Canvas course is concluded at the end of the term, Canvas
removes some of the pathways for accessing student file submissions.
Student submissions are still available, they're just a bit harder to
find.

Canvas allows you to copy content from one course to another. This
will be helpful if you are teaching multiple sections of a course,
either at the same time or in different semesters.

Canvas Quizzes have a setting called "Filter IP Addresses". You can
use this setting to prevent students from accessing the quiz unless
they are connected to a specific wifi network. Using this setting will
