How do I setup my voice mailbox for the first time?

 From your office:

  • Press 8
  • Enter the default security code.  Contact the IT Help Desk for this code.
  • As a new user, you will be asked to set up the following :
    • Create a new password
    • Record your name
    • Record your Personal Greeting

From a shared phone on OCADU campus :

  • Press 8
  • Press *,#
  • Enter your mailbox number Note : if your extension has 3 digits, you must add 0 to the beginning. For instance 628 becomes 0628.
  • Enter the default security code. Contact the IT Help Desk for this code.
  • As a new user, you will be asked to set up the following :
    • Create a new password
    • Recorde your name
    • Record your Personal Greeting

From outside the office:

  • Call OCADU at 4169776000.
  • Press  #  
  • Enter your mailbox number Note : if your extension has 3 digits, you must add 0 to the beginning. For instance 628 becomes 0628.
  • Enter the default security code.  Contact the IT Help Desk for this code.

  • Enter your security code

How do I use my voice mailbox ?

Once you are logged in, you can review your messages, record your greetings, change your security code, or send a message.

Use the guide below to perform common tasks with the available menus.  If you're having trouble finding an option, the Help Desk can assist you.

How do I manage my out-of-office greeting?

If your out-of-office greeting is enabled, you will be reminded of this when you log into your mailbox, and you will have the option of turning it off.  To record and enable your out-of-office greeting:

  • From your mailbox, press 3 for User Options
  • Press 6 to record your out-of-office greeting
  • The out-of-office greeting is enabled when you record it

How do I recover a deleted message?

If you delete a voicemail message by mistake, you can recover it during the same session:

  • From your mailbox, press 7 to listen to deleted messages
  • Press 4 to recover the message

If you hang up after deleting a message, it cannot be retrieved.
