AM I IN THE LAPTOP PROGRAM?

Second year Photography students are enrolled in a mandatory Software Program, where they receive Adobe and Microsoft software, but are not required to have a Laptop.

AM I REQUIRED TO HAVE A LAPTOP FOR PHOTOGRAPHY?

No. Would a laptop be useful? Yes! But you don't need to have a computer in the classroom.

  • We operate a Software Program only in Photography: students receive the software, but are not required to have a laptop in the classroom.
  • We license the software you need at prices lower than standard academic discount. We then charge you fees for software and support that are applied annually or one-time.

  • We support you on campus through a Laptop Help Desk.

HOW DO I GET THE SOFTWARE?

Students will be provided with Adobe and Microsoft via the Laptop Program Helpdesk, Room 664, 100 McCaul Street.

You can access Lynda.com at https://lynda.external.ocad.ca

WHERE CAN STUDENTS INSTALL THE SOFTWARE?

Students can install the software on a home desktop or laptop where they are the primary user: you are entitled to two installs where the software is not in simultaneous use.
