Keep Teams meetings secure and reduce the odds of unwanted guests. Teams offers a number of security settings and features to help reduce the possibility of unknown or unwelcome attendees joining your meeting or event. These settings also help you manage the meeting in the way that works best for you.

Changing Meeting Options

Access Meeting Options Prior to a Meeting

  1. In Teams click Calendar.
  2. Click on the meeting you need to edit.
  3. Click Edit.



  4. Click Meeting Options.

Access Meeting Options During a Meeting

  1. Click the More Options ⋯ button.
  2. Select Meeting Options.

Recommended Meeting Options

Mute All Participants

  1. Click the Participants icon.
  2. Click Mute All.




Remove Participants

  1. Click the Participants icon.
  2. Find the participant to remove.
  3. Click the More Options ⋯ button beside their name.
  4. Click Remove Participant.
