Clearing the Browser Cache

A browser cache keeps some site data on your computer which allows sites to load faster. Clearing the browser cache can help fix common issues in loading and displaying websites.

Chrome

  1. In the browser toolbar, click the More ⋮ icon.
  2. Select More Tools and then select Clear browsing data. The Settings tab opens.
  3. In the Time Range dropdown, select the time range for the cache deletion.
  4. Select the options: Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.
  5. Click Clear data.

Safari

  1. Click the Safari menu and select Clear History...
  2. Choose how far back you want to clear the history.
  3. Click Clear History.

Firefox

  1. macOS: Click the Firefox menu and select Preferences...
    Windows: Click the Open menu ☰ icon and select Options.
  2. Click Privacy and Security.
  3. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data...
  4. Select the options: Cookies and Site Data, and Cached Web Content.
  5. Click Clear.

Edge

  1. Click the Settings and more icon.
  2. Select History. The History panel opens.
  3. Click Clear History. The clear browsing data panel opens.
  4. Select the options: Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data, Cache data and files, and Tabs I've set aside or recently closed.
  5. Click Clear. 

Safari (iOS)

  1. Go to Settings and tap Safari.
  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.
  3. It will prompt you to confirm, tap Clear History and Website Data.

Chrome (Android)

  1. In Chrome tap the More  icon.
  2. Tap History and tap Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose a Time Range for the cache deletion.
  4. Select the options: Browsing History, Cookies and site data, and Cached images and files.
  5. Tap Clear data.

Chrome (iOS)

  1. Tap the More ⋯ icon.
  2. Tap History and tap Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose a Time Range for the cache deletion.
  4. Select the options: Browsing History, Cookies and site data, and Cached images and files.
  5. Tap Clear Browsing Data.
