How to check and update your Zoom client?

If you are experiencing issues with Zoom or Zoom features, check that your Zoom client is up to date.

1.Log in to Zoom desktop client
2.Select your profile picture (located on top right corner) and choose Check for updates option
3.Follow the prompts as instructed

 

How do install Zoom Client or Desktop Outlook plugin?

Zoom is preinstalled on your OCADU computer, if you need to install Zoom, visit Download Center

How do I reset my password?

1.From the Zoom login screen select Forgot My Password option
2.Enter ocadu email (xxxx@ocadu.ca)
3.In Outlook locate Zoom password reset email. Note This email could be located in either Focus or Other tabs
4.Follow instructions in the email

 

What are the system requirements for conducting large meeting? 

Processor

Minimum Single Core 1Ghz or Higher
Recommended Dual Core 2Ghz or Higher (i3/i5/i7 or AMD equivalent)


Bandwidth

Group video calling requires a minimum of 800kbps/1.0Mbps (up/down) for high quality video.

What is the difference in functionality between desktop client vs Mobile app?

What features are lost when using a web client?

Using a Web browser client has limited features and may limit your experience during a Zoom meeting. The recommended browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Chromium Edge

What is the difference between Licensed accounts and webinars?

Both are paid services and offer a different attendee experience. Webinars creates a more formal online environment and Licensed meetings ideal for collaborative meetings. Licensed account have a capacity limit of 300 participants and Webinar are capped at 100, 500, 1000 and 10, 000.
