How to check and update your Zoom client?

If you are experiencing issues with Zoom or Zoom features, check that your Zoom client is up to date.

  1. Log in to Zoom desktop client.
  2. Select your profile picture (located on top right corner) and choose Check for updates option.
  3. Follow the prompts as instructed.

    Note:
    accessing new Virtual Backgrounds may require a fresh restart of your Zoom client.

How to install Zoom for Outlook plugin?

Outlook desktop users

  1. Under the Tools menu (located in navigation toolbar).
  2. Select Get Add-In.
  3. Search for 'Zoom for Outlook'.
  4. Select Add and follow instructions to install.

Outlook web users

  1. Schedule a meeting in Outlook.
  2. Select Get Add-In icon (located on the top right corner).
  3. Search for 'Zoom for Outlook'.
  4. Select Add and follow instructions to install.

How do I reset my password?

  1. From a web browser enter https://ocadu.zoom.us/
  2. Click the Sign in button. A new browser window will appear. 
  3. Select Forgot My Password link.
  4. Enter ocadu email (xxxx@ocadu.ca). Click Send button.
  5. In Outlook locate Zoom password reset email. Note This email could also be located in either Focus or Other tabs.
  6. Follow instructions in the email.

 


What are the system requirements for conducting large meeting? 

Processor

Minimum Single Core 1Ghz or Higher
Recommended Dual Core 2Ghz or Higher (i3/i5/i7 or AMD equivalent)

Bandwidth

Group video calling requires a minimum of 800kbps/1.0Mbps (up/down) for high quality video.

What is the difference in functionality between desktop client vs Mobile app?

What features are lost when using a web client?

Using a Web browser client has limited features and may limit your experience during a Zoom meeting. The recommended browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Chromium Edge

What is the difference between Licensed accounts and webinars?

Both are paid services and offer a different attendee experience and have different attendee limits.

Webinars creates a more formal online environment and licensed meetings are better suited for collaborative meetings.

Licensed account have a capacity limit of 300 participants and Events Support has a Webinar has a license with a capacity limit of 500.
