If you are experiencing issues with your email after having followed all instructions for configuration, please email email@example.com for assistance.
The first phase of the OCAD U 365 migration is planned in 3 steps:
The Outlook desktop application that you currently have installed on your machine will remain the same. Outlook Web Access (also known as OWA) will look very different but have the same functionality as what you are used to including additional features and applications by way of OCAD U 365. It is accessible (post-migration) at 365.ocadu.ca. Another difference you may not notice right away is that you will have 48 G more space in your mailbox. This means no more "your mailbox is too full" notifications.
A common mistake made by users especially when configuring devices, is not entering the correct username.
Your OCADUid is the OCAD U username that has been with you since you started your employment. It is not to be confused with the first part of your email address, though in some cases it may be the same. When configuring devices after the migration to OCAD U 365, you will be required to to use the format: OCADUid@ocadu.ca. Unfortunately this is due to the standard username format required by Microsoft and is not able to be changed by IT Services.

You should have received a personalized email in your inbox on February 10, 2017 with the Subject: OCAD U 365: Migration and Configuration of your OCAD U Email. It contains details that will be useful to you in terms of configuring your devices. It provides you with your OCAD U 365 username to avoid confusion.
This is likely due to improper configuration. See the OCAD U 365 Knowledgebase for instructions for common devices and follow them carefully. A common error is incorrect credentials, please see the previous question regarding your OCADUid.

Due to the differing ways in which users structure their file storage, IT Services recommends that all administrative staff migrate their own H: drive files to OneDrive when they are prompted to do so. Further instructions will be provided leading up to the cut over, please stay tuned for communication regarding H: drive.
IT Services will be working with each department to ensure the smooth migration of all files from the O: drive to SharePoint Online, the Office 365 hosted departmental file storage solution. This is the third step of the OCAD U 365 project and is planned for April 2017. Individuals in each department are being identified as a point of contact and will be contacted by IT Services.
In order to view all subfolders in your mailbox within the web application, click on "More" which is underneath "Inbox", "Sent Items" and "Deleted Items" in the left panel when you are in your inbox.

No. You will not be able to forward your email to another address. Too much email forwarded to personal accounts bounces back and is not delivered. Creating a single and official means of communication with you means we can ensure you receive our messages. The University’s official means of communication with you is your OCAD U email address.
