What is the Course Outline Builder?

The Course Outline Builder is a tool that helps instructors build their course outlines. It collects content from instructors, and combines that with content from the registration system and other sources to build an outline that is consistent and accessible. 

The tool is integrated into Canvas, and can be found on a Canvas course's Outline page.

Why was the Course Outline Builder developed?

This course outline template has been developed to meet student needs for consistency and transparency with regard to information about their course, and complies with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) legislation.

 

Who designed the Course Outline Builder? 

The Course Outline Builder was developed by the Faculty Offices, the FCDC and IT Services.
