About eduroam

Eduroam allows access to Internet services with HTTP, HTTPS and VPN. There is no access to OCAD U File Sharing or Print Services.

What Operating Systems are supported ?

  • Mac OS X 10.6 and higher
  • Windows XP (limited)
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • iOS (iPhone & iPad)
  • Android
  • Blackberry 
  • Other 802.1x enabled devices

What is my eduroam username and password ?

your eduroam username is : <your OCAD U username>@ocadu.ca   ( eg esmith@ocadu.ca ; fl99ee@ocadu.ca )
Your eduroam password is your OCAD U faculty or student email password.

How do I connect ?

Windows Users
 Apple users

Windows Users :

1.From wireless Network Connection, select eduroam and click Connect.


2. Authenticate with your eduroam username and password.

You should now be connected to the eduroam wireless network.

Apple users : 

1. From the wireless network icon in top right corner, select Turn Airport On or Turn Wi-Fi On (depending on your OS).

2.From the wireless network pull-down menu in the top right corner, select eduroam 


3.In the authentication window,type your eduroam username and password and click OK or Join

 

4. You may see a certificate warning. If so, click Show Certificate.

 5. Check to make sure the certificate is named wlan-radius.ocad.ca and is valid, then click Continue.

 
 
6. You may now be prompted to enter your Mac username and password to allow this trust to be saved on your computer. If so, do so and click Update Settings.

OSX 6

You should now be connected to the eduroam wireless network.
